Lately, when I try to leave a comment on a blog, about half the time Blogger will not let me see the verification code I'm supposed to replicate to verify my veracity. All I get is a little red X in a little black box. I'm thinking where I'd like to send that red X, by Fed-Ex.

I get that once in a while too and I found if I just hit enter the next time I usually get something I can see.
What Flo said. There was a glitch one night where the wordver wouldn't come up for anything, but they fixed it. And it still beats comment spam.
Makes me mad too.
I am mad when I start typing on the comment box while the page is loading. Once the page is finished loading, ti will refresh itself and I have to retype the comment again.
This whole issue is addressed by Blogger in the "Known Issues" section, I discovered. They said do what Flo said... submit anyway and hopefully it will re-load to a code you can see. Except I've done that and sometimes that doesn't work either.

I too have seen that dreaded X. I always do a control-C to copy my comment, esp. if it's long, to make sure I don't have to retype in case what Flo says doesn't work. Hope they fix the problem soon ...
