G-Maps Route-Tracker is Fixed!!!

The problem I ranted about, trying to track my cycling route, wasn't me, or my computer. Within just the last couple days they've updated the site with capability to track long routes. The reason I couldn't do it was, it couldn't be done!! (Nancy, you were right!!) And here I thought it was me. I should think like a more self-assured person... if I can't do something, there must be a problem with what I'm trying to do, not with me.

Update bulletin at G-Maps: 1/28/06 Serverside Permalinks! Your routes will now be saved in a serverside database. This should mean that all you folks who have superlong routes that were getting cut off by browser limitations on the length of the querystring should see your problems resolved. Note that all existing permalinks and tinyurls will still work.
