I took a potent
pain pill and slept, making up for the 2-hours' -sleep night in the
shelter. I don't hurt all over anymore but my feet are still sore.
Blisters are better (I did manage to drain them last night) but
limping on my left foot still.
Steve and I went to
Wal-Mart (I'm already in the mode where I'm amazed how fast you get
somewhere in a car.) I did one of those computerized Dr. Scholl's
foot-analysis things. The corrective inserts cost $49.95. I'm using
them but have not noticed any immediate relief. If they don't change
my life they're guaranteed, and I actually saved the receipt.
I think I need to
remember I'm not 25 years old and can't just throw on a 25# pack and
start hiking 10 miles a day including crazy rock climbs.
