- Name: Ellie Hamilton
- Location: Grantsville, MD, United States
60-yr-old grandmother of 4, mother of 3, wife of one (39 years.)I've run 24 marathons (1986-2008) and completed two Iron-distance triathlons (2005, 2006, both after age 50.)I was a registered nurse from 1993 - 2004. From April-June 2009, I hiked 1,013 miles of the Appalachian Trail, from GA to MD,then left the Trail and that same summer became the oldest female ever to complete the rugged SavageMan Half-Iron Triathlon in Western Maryland. After 5 years of living full-time in our RV, my husband now live with my 90-year-old mother, to help her and also help take care of our nearby grandchildren. I bike, hike, and/or run whenever I can!
